The Association of Energy Services Professionals recognized EETD’s Ed Vine and 17 other team members from around the country with AESP’s 2006 Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Research and Evaluation for developing the California Energy Program Evaluation Framework and the California Energy Efficiency Program Evaluation Protocols. AESP handed out the awards at AESP’s 17th Annual National Energy Services Conference in Las Vegas earlier this month.
He also received a letter from Governor Schwarzenegger congratulating him and the other team members for receiving the above award. The Governor goes on to say:
‘This award recognizes your hard work in developing the methods and procedures that will make California more energy efficient. It is essential that all of us – companies, organizations and individuals – do everything we can to tackle global warming, and your efforts are commendable. Your commitment to a sustainable environment further enhances the state’s image as a world leader, but more importantly, will bring about a healthier future for our children and grandchildren. Thank you for your contributions to energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction.â€
Our congratulations to Ed!

Alan Meier received an Alliance to Save Energy “Unsung Hero†of Energy Efficiency Award on February 13. Kateri Callahan, ASE President, presented the award and made some remarks, including the following:
“If there is one characteristics that qualifies Alan as an unsung hero, according to his colleagues at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, it is his unerring ability to identify important energy-saving opportunities that are so far ahead of their time that they are typically unfundable for the first few years, while Alan manages to get the rest of us to pay attention. But his ideas have been great for the country – and the world.â€
